photo of the crossover bridgeRecently, Westarea parents, staff, and students celebrated the fifth grade.  As the 5th grade students prepare to crossover from elementary to middle school, Westarea celebrated their growth and their achievements.  The beautiful cafetorium decorations, designed by Ms. Finney, featured the theme “Dream, Believe, Achieve”.  Ms. Jessica Williams sang Greatest Love of All. Judge Cheri Siler-Mack delivered an inspiring message.  Many of the fifth graders received academic and special area performance awards.  Parents and family members commented on how proud they are of their students.  To end the program, the fifth graders symbolically crossed the bridge to the next chapter in their lives.  It was a wonderful evening for all.
