While you are enjoying your summer, please make sure your child continues to read each day.  Research shows that children who read five or more books over the summer, remember more of what they have learned during the school year.  Their literacy skills continue to improve.  The Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center offers Summer Reading Clubs for preschool, elementary, and teenage students.  They even have a summer reading program for adults so that you can check out a book for yourself.  To get you started, here are some summer reading suggestions your child will enjoy.
